How do you see the world?

It’s so beautifully different from how we, as adults, filter out all the things that don’t serve us. Our adult perspective can, of course, be useful in terms of saving time and not letting overwhelm get the better of us. However, by being so blinkered, we can miss out on so much magic in the world. Have you ever been for a short car journey or a walk with a child? They will somehow see and point out all the signs, marks and colours you and I may never even notice. I can’t recall the number of times my eldest has asked me what a particular sign means or what ‘those numbers up there’ stand for. What numbers? Where? I don’t even see the majority of the world around me and yet here is someone who has less experience in the world seeing every finite detail, useful or not. Sometimes, we don’t see what’s in front of us, even when we’re looking. Have you ever been hunting high and low for those elusive keys when they were right in front of you all along? Or worse, talking on your phone while looking around for…. your phone! 🙄
