Testimonials and Reviews

‘When I grow up, I want to be a kid’ really made me think about my life. I am a happy, busy working mum and wife. Life is good! This book made me realise although I am happy, most of the things I do are for everybody else. Don’t get me wrong – I get a lot of pleasure out of helping others, but I don’t do much for me.

There is so much I would love to do – learn new skills, hobbies etc. Somewhere along the line, I have lost what I like. This book has made me stop, make time and just do it. I have an ‘I can do’ attitude.

Thanks Nicky for waking me up.”❤️️

“When I first started with Nicky, I was struggling with my health goals and putting my self first. I knew I had to make changes to make myself a priority so I can be a better Mum, partner and coach.

My first session, I have experienced so much warmth, light and a clear direction towards my vision. The biggest change I have seen is believing in myself. I have become more focused and willing to make permanent changes in my life. I have looked forward to our sessions, her smile, her friendly and warm approach, has allowed me to trust her. Being a Mum herself, she is compassionate and understanding while softly nudging me to take ownership of my vision. My experience with Nicky has been so much fun, empowering and I felt very supported throughout my coaching series.”

“‘When I grow up, I want to be a kid’  is a great read for all us mums (and dads) who have forgotten what it’s like to be young and carefree due to the stress and demands of adult life. The book made me laugh as it allowed me to visualise the young me who had such a zest for life and it brought back so many happy and funny memories from my joyful youth.

It also made me think about my own kids’ free-spirits and how lucky they are to JUST be a kid and having FUN 24/7.

Each chapter focuses on real lessons from real life that us grown-ups can learn from kids and provides doable strategies to change our ways and thinking to live life fully and playfully as we did when we were kids – worry less, dream big, to be yourself and not care what others think, to live for the moment, stop over analysing everything you say and do, etc.

The book is beautifully presented with a simple structure. It’s one of those books that you can keep by your bedside table and open up a chapter when you need daily reminders or strategies to help reflect, relax, stress less and bring back that FUN again that we are all missing.
