I’m Nicky. I help people like you connect with your ideal clients through bespoke storytelling that speaks to the heart of your target audience.
As a small business owner, I understand how hard it can be to manage all areas of your business. Let me say this once and for all:

Excuse me for shouting, but it’s true. You risk major burnout if you’re trying to run your business and market it at the same time. By getting help, you’re freeing up valuable time to do what you really want and love – which is probably why you got into business in the first place.
Fortunately, I not only ‘do’ content, but I freaking love it. I love writing. I love editing. Heck, I even love proofreading!
What kind of strange being am I?
Well, over the past 15 years, I’ve paid the mortgage by writing. Yup! I’ve been a copywriter, journalist, editor and proofreader for some amazing companies and as a freelancer. I’ve worked with all sorts of businesses (seriously – there’s not a lot that shocks me these days).
If you’re interested in my academic side, I also have a BA (Hons) in English Studies. I did my degree back in the dark ages when the internet was so fresh that we used books to do our research.
Yes, you read right – real BOOKS! Who’d have thunk it?
I started my freelance business many, many moons ago and have consolidated my writing with my coaching under my own name because:
- it makes sense to tie my name into my work. After all, if you work with my business, you’re working with me; and
- taking care of two businesses is just too much drama for this solo business gal. I also have a family that likes to see me from time to time, so one online home is enough for now.♥

COPYWRITING
From website copy to blogs to newsletters and even media releases, if you have words to write, marketing to do or content to create, then hit me up.
- I write web copy complete with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) so that the lovely Google can find you for people typing in your ‘key words’;
- I write informational blog posts that elevate you to genius status in your industry (well, at least you’ll sound like you have a fair idea about what’s going on);
- I write newsletters to promote your shenanigans to your subscribers; and
- I write media releases that promote your shenanigans to masses of media consumers.

EDITING
So, you have the words that you think you want, but maybe they need refining. This is where editing comes in.
Like a car, sometimes copy needs a little fine-tuning to have it running right. Other times it should be taken to the scrap heap and simply used for parts. There’s always hope! Remember – even Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was saved from the wrecker’s yard. And that car ending up flying!
Editing can be hard to do on your own copy – especially when you’ve put blood, sweat and tears into it. That’s why it’s often easier to let someone else rake through those written gems.
PROOFREADING
You’re pretty happy with your copy. It reads well, has a nice flow and speaks to your ideal client.
Maybe you’ve had it professionally edited and just want another set of eyes to look over it and add the final polish.
I love this part. No, really. Oftentimes you’ll find me proofreading a fully-published book instead of enjoying the content. We proofreaders really are a different breed…
